Each year group at Charles Darwin School has a Student Voice forum. The forum consists of two pupils per form group, as voted by the form group, to represent the form to make decisions, improve school life and be a voice for the form group. Student Voice has responsibility for choosing each year team's charities and how to fundraise.
Charles Darwin School Council works throughout the year to improve school life and quality of the learning experience for both students and teachers. We also improve relations within the local community. The council is a strong link between students, staff and the Governors. Each year group is represented by two students who speak for their year. The teachers and governors also have a representative each.
Throughout the year, we help make important decisions within the school and also run fundraising events to raise money which the different faculties bid for at the end of each school year for equipment and resources to benefit students’ education. Most recently the school council have been responsible for surveying the students and teachers to help design this site and develop our new logo. We have make decisions on uniform, school toilets and represent the school at functions and community events.
