Learning Beyond Subjects

Enriched Curriculum days and the Tutorial programme

Enriched learning days, when the normal timetable is suspended, take place several times a year for each year group, these days together with a well-developed tutorial programme are utilised to broaden the student's learning experience further; enabling students with the development of key understandings in a whole range of issues.     Examples of subject matter covered in this way include:

  • Staying safe, including online safety and drug and alcohol awareness.
  • Developing greater resilience and a Growth Mindset attitude.
  • Aspects of key British values.
  • Study skills. 
  • Healthy living including mental health.
  • Bullying.
