Advice for extreme heat warning for Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th July

Due to the extreme heat warning for Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th July we are advising:

  • Students should bring more than one bottle of water which can be re-filled before school, break, lunch and after school
  • Blazers do not need to be worn, neither will ties
  • Students will be able to go in the school hall/gym to get out of the sun during break and lunch
  • PE will be planning with consideration for the heat, which includes moving indoors/classrooms where appropriate
  • We are looking at moving classes out of the rooms we know to be hottest
  • Students encouraged to wear sun cream
  • Short sleeve shirts are perfectly fine

All of the above is in relation to Monday and Tuesday only. Wednesday and Thursday returns to more normal temperatures and students must be back in full, smart uniform for the final day on Friday
