Students Celebrate ‘A’ level and GCSE Results Success

I am delighted to report that our Sixth Form students and Year 11 students have again achieved some fantastic results.

This year, despite the complications of the pandemic, the cancellation of the public examinations and the stress and strains of having to provide evidence of their knowledge and understanding via class based assessments, our students achieved some superb results.

This year our Year 13 students achieved:

Grade

(%)

A*-A

31

A*-B

58

A*-C

88

                  A*-E ( pass rate)

99

At GCSE the grade distribution was equally impressive:

Grade

%

8-9

12

7-9

24

5-9

62

The overall figures include some outstanding individual performances at both A level and at GCSE.  About 30 students achieved more than 5 grade 7 and above, and there were many who surpassed our expectations.  Overall at GCSE 77.6% of our pupils achieved 5 grade 4+ and 75% in both English and Maths are included in these 5 grades.

We are very pleased for all our students who have passed these important examinations which now provides them with the ideal platform to move onto their next stage of education and training.

Students of all abilities performed very well and as ever this is a credit to their hard work, the support that parents provided and the dedication and professionalism of the teachers.  My thanks and congratulations to everyone concerned.
