Charles Darwin School

Pupil Premium

Overview

The pupil premium was introduced in April 2011 and paid to school in the form of a specific grant to help address the gap in achievement between pupils in the vulnerable categories and all other pupils. The vulnerable categories identified by the government are:

  • Pupils who are in receipt of free school meals or who have been in receipt of the same over the past six years.
  • Children who are Looked after
  • Pupils whose parents are in the armed forces.

The available pupil premium funding will be used by this school to address any underlying inequalities between children in the above groups relative to others.
